| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 | | Representatives are pleased to congratulate Breese Central |
| 4 | | High School Senior Jena Hemann on the record-setting ending to |
| 5 | | her high school track and field career; and
|
| 6 | | WHEREAS, On May 21, 2011, she set new Class A records in |
| 7 | | the long jump and 100-meter dash; she also won the high jump |
| 8 | | and triple jump, becoming the first athlete in small school |
| 9 | | history to win 4 events at multiple State track and field |
| 10 | | meets; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Her time for the 100-meter dash was a new State |
| 12 | | record of 12.02 seconds and her distance for the long jump was |
| 13 | | 20 feet, 1.5 inches; and
|
| 14 | | WHEREAS, In 4 years, Jena Hemann has won 15 medals at State |
| 15 | | meets, 10 of which were championships; and
|
| 16 | | WHEREAS, The IHSA State Track and Field Meet was held in |
| 17 | | Charleston at O'Brien Field; therefore, be it
|
| 18 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 19 | | NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
