HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate David and Darlene 
4Trinkle of DuQuoin on their 60th wedding anniversary; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, David and Darlene met in Waurika, Oklahoma, while 
6David was in the United States Air Force; they were married in 
7Henrietta, Texas, on May 26, 1951, and moved to Illinois in 
81962; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Darlene was raised and educated in Waurika, 
10Oklahoma; David grew up and was educated in Flora, Illinois, 
11and has been a member of the IBEW for 56 years; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, David and Darlene are both active in their church 
13and various Christian activities; they are both members of the 
14Christian Motorcycle Association, and  they both enjoy 
15gardening; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, They are the parents of 5 children and the proud 
17grandparents of 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; 
18and
  
 
19    WHEREAS, They will celebrate their 60th wedding 
20anniversary at the Giant City Lodge on May 28, 2011; and

1    WHEREAS, Their lifelong commitment and devotion to each 
2other is a model for the people of this State; therefore, be it
  
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
4NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
5we congratulate David and Darlene Trinkle on this momentous 
6occasion and wish them good health and happiness for years to 
7come; and be it further
  
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9presented to David and Darlene Trinkle as a symbol of our 
10respect and esteem.
