| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 | | Representatives are pleased to congratulate Jack Wagner on the |
| 4 | | occasion of his departure from public service after being the |
| 5 | | longest serving Councilman in the Village of Palatine; and
|
| 6 | | WHEREAS, Jack Wagner has proudly represented Palatine's |
| 7 | | 5th District; in addition to holding elected office, he has |
| 8 | | over 24 years of community and municipal service in Palatine; |
| 9 | | he helped start the Village of Palatine's paramedic program in |
| 10 | | the mid-1970s as a Palatine Board of Health member; he also |
| 11 | | served as a Salt Creek Park District Commissioner from 1983 to |
| 12 | | 1991 and worked to open the Twin Lakes park development; and
|
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Jack Wagner played an integral role in the |
| 14 | | aftermath of the 1993 murders of seven workers at the Brown's |
| 15 | | Chicken and Pasta restaurant; he served as a liaison to the |
| 16 | | police department and organized a $100,000 reward fund that |
| 17 | | ultimately was divided between two witnesses last year after |
| 18 | | the second killer's conviction; and
|
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Jack Wagner was a strong advocate for innovation |
| 20 | | and improved measures for public safety; and
|
| 21 | | WHEREAS, Jack Wagner has served as a model of hard work, |
