| 2 | | WHEREAS, A vacancy exists in the office of Chief Clerk of |
| 3 | | the House of Representatives; therefore, be it

| 4 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 5 | | NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 6 | | Timothy D. Mapes is hereby elected Chief Clerk of the House of |
| 7 | | Representatives for the remainder of the term of the |
| 8 | | Ninety-Seventh General Assembly or until a successor is |
| 9 | | elected; and be it further
|
| 10 | | RESOLVED, That Timothy D. Mapes shall receive no |
| 11 | | compensation or reimbursement of expenses for performance of |
| 12 | | duties as the Chief Clerk of the House of Representatives.
