| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 | | Representatives are pleased to congratulate Mary "Mae" Arp |
| 4 | | Coleman of Oak Lawn on her 100th birthday; and

| 5 | | WHEREAS, She was born on September 5, 1911 to Charles and |
| 6 | | Mary Weiler Arp in Chicago and is the eldest of their 11 |
| 7 | | children; and
|
| 8 | | WHEREAS, She married Joseph "Joe" Coleman on April 21, 1941 |
| 9 | | at St. Paul's Church in Chicago; and |
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Mary "Mae" Arp Coleman and her husband raised |
| 11 | | their children, Denise and Terry, at St. Sabina's Parish in |
| 12 | | Chicago and, after becoming "empty-nesters", moved to Oak Lawn; |
| 13 | | and
|
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Mary "Mae" Arp Coleman is a fan of the Chicago |
| 15 | | Cubs, White Sox, and Bears, reads the Chicago Tribune on a |
| 16 | | daily basis, walks to keep in shape, and never says no to an |
| 17 | | invitation to go out with family and friends; and
|
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Mary "Mae" Arp Coleman is an avid knitter and |
| 19 | | crocheter, making memories for her 6 grandchildren and 13 |
| 20 | | great-grandchildren; and
|
