| 4 | | Mae Sutherland of Chicago, who passed away on September 2, |

| 6 | | WHEREAS, She was born on April 16, 1922 in Sunflower |
| 7 | | County, Mississippi to the late Marion Brown and Ionia (Morris) |
| 8 | | Brown Dotson; she moved to Chicago after attending high school |
| 9 | | for 3 years; and
|
| 10 | | WHEREAS, In Chicago, she reconnected with Edmund |
| 11 | | Sutherland, who she had met years earlier and they were married |
| 12 | | on June 29, 1942; she joined with Bethel A.M.E. Church and |
| 13 | | became President of the Third Board of Stewardess; she worked |
| 14 | | as a maid on the Northside of Chicago and later with the |
| 15 | | Chicago Dynamic Coin Company; she retired from Stern |
| 16 | | Electronics later in life; and
|
| 17 | | WHEREAS, She liked to work on quilts, puzzle books, watch |
| 18 | | her favorite Chicago sports team, or watch soap operas; and
|
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Lillie Mae Sutherland is survived by her |
| 20 | | grandchildren, Scott (Prinscilla) Alexander, Kim Sutherland, |
| 21 | | Dorita (Aaron) Carson, and Jerry (Lea) Roberts; her |
