HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate Apostle William 
4McCoy, D.D., Ph.D., founder, Overseer, and CEO of Am I My 
5Brothers Keeper Outreach Church, Brothers Keeper's Community 
6Resource Center, and the International Pentecostal Assembly 
7Ecumenical, on his 26th anniversary; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, He began his ministry in 1984 on the streets of 
9Harvey, Robbins, and Chicago with a message of deliverance from 
10substance addictions and domestic abuse; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, During this time, he began taking people into his 
12home who hungered for deliverance from their addictions; 
13together with his wife, Dr. Rose McCoy, he provided support and 
14spiritual nurturing needed to restructure the lives of broken 
15individuals, transitioning them back into the community and 
16returning them to their families as saved, delivered, 
17responsible, and productive people; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Am I My Brothers Keeper Outreach Center is a grass 
19roots ministry exhibiting a strong emphasis  on teaching and 
20deliverance in its outreach activities in the following areas: 
21jail ministry, parole chaplaincy training, street ministry, 
22and ministerial training; and

1    WHEREAS, The International Pentecostal Assembly 
2Ecumenical, the networking vehicle of Am I My Brothers Keeper, 
3is made up of a conglomerate of churches of various 
4denominations and faith-based organization that have come 
5together as one body for the purpose of Kingdom building 
6through the sharing of ideas, resources, information, and 
7services to meet the spiritual, physical, and social needs of 
8all humanity; therefore, be it
  
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
10NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
11we congratulate Apostle William McCoy on this anniversary 
12occasion and wish him continued success in his future 
13endeavors; and be it further
  
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
15presented to Apostle William McCoy as a symbol of our respect 
16and esteem.
