| 1 | | HOUSE RESOLUTION
|
| 2 | | WHEREAS, There are 329 Rotary Clubs in the State of |
| 3 | | Illinois that are members of Rotary International and belong to |
| 4 | | 6 Rotary Districts, namely, Districts 6420, 6440, 06450, 6460, |
| 5 | | 6490, and 6510; and
|
| 6 | | WHEREAS, These Rotary Clubs include over 13,350 Rotarians |
| 7 | | who motto is "Service Above Self" and are committed to serving |
| 8 | | their communities in significant ways throughout the year; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, These Illinois Rotarians want to join together on |
| 10 | | one specific day to dedicate their collective services to |
| 11 | | communities throughout the State of Illinois; therefore, be it
|
| 12 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 13 | | NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 14 | | we designate February 23, 2012 as Illinois Rotarians Service |
| 15 | | Day in the State of Illinois; and be it further
|
| 16 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 17 | | presented to the Rotary Districts of Illinois as a symbol of |
| 18 | | our respect and esteem.
