HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate the Teutopolis 
4Junior High School Boys Baseball team, the Wooden Shoes, on 
5winning the Illinois Elementary School Association Class 2A 
6Boys State Baseball Tournament; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, The team won for a second year in a row against 
8Crest Hill Richland with a final score of 8-7; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Teutopolis led 8-0 going into the top of the 7th, 
10when Crest Hill Richland scored 7 runs; Teutopolis would not 
11let them score again; and

  
 
12    WHEREAS, The Coach of the Wooden Shoes is Kent Niebrugge; 
13the Assistant Coaches are John Bushur and Alex Ritz; the 
14Athletic Director is Andrew Johnson; the team managers are 
15Wyatt Hewing, Justice Coventry, and Andrew Hemmen; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, The members of the team are: Michael Drees, Jacob 
17Roepke, Devin Smith, Wes Brummer, Kyle Hardiek, Jason Kenter, 
18Kyle Smith, Chris Ungrund, Blake Mette, Ryan Kremer, Austin 
19Johnson, John Kreke, Matt Weber, Tyler Westendorf, Matt 
20Koester, Brock Shannon, Brett Mette, and Caleb Mitchell;

1    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
2NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
3we congratulate the Teutopolis Junior High School Boys Baseball 
4team on their great season and impressive State victory; and be 
5it further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to Coach Kent Niebrugge and the Teutopolis Wooden 
8Shoes as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
