| 2 | | WHEREAS, November 11 is nationally recognized as Veteran's |
| 3 | | Day; on this day, we are reminded to thank, honor, and |
| 4 | | celebrate the military men and women who have served and |
| 5 | | protected the American people and our way of life; and
|
| 6 | | WHEREAS, Many communities and organizations pay tribute to |
| 7 | | the thousands of American veterans on this day; and
|
| 8 | | WHEREAS, As every veteran has made the oath to protect this |
| 9 | | nation, under risk of bodily harm, making sure that all |
| 10 | | veterans receive due and proper honor and acknowledgement is a |
| 11 | | priority that will not be compromised; and
|
| 12 | | WHEREAS, The members of this body are dedicated to ensuring |
| 13 | | that all Illinois veterans receive proper recognition for their |
| 14 | | courageous service to this nation; and
|
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Dedicating the month of November to all Illinois |
| 16 | | veterans will enable the citizens of this State to pay tribute |
| 17 | | to all veterans and make certain that no veteran is forgotten; |
