HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate the members of the 
4Dakota Indians varsity football team on the occasion of winning 
5the IHSA Class 1A State championship; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, The Dakota Indians defeated Tuscola 41-27 to 
7secure victory in the IHSA Class 1A State championship; the 
8team ended their season with an incredible 12-2 record; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, This victory marks only the third occasion that 
10the Dakota Indians have won a State football title in the 
11school's history; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, The members of the Dakota Indians varsity football 
13team are Rian Borgmann, Luke Geiseman, James Gregory, Brandon 
14Last, Daniel Leitzinger, Nathaniel Smith, Andrew Sweet, Jake 
15Apple, Kendall Lawson, Tyler Thompson, Austin Cashman, Tyler 
16Townsend, Drew Geiseman, Neil Bruegger, Jake Meyer, Tyler

9    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
10NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
11we congratulate the members of the Dakota Indians varsity 
12football team on the occasion of winning the IHSA Class 1A 
13State championship and wish them continued success and 
14happiness in the future; and be it further
  
 
15    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
16presented to the Dakota Indians varsity football team as a 
17symbol of our esteem and respect.
