HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate the staff and 
4administration of Silver Cross Hospital as they celebrate the 
5opening of their new facilities in New Lenox on February 26, 
62012; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Silver Cross Hospital was founded in 1895 by the 
8Will County Union of King's Daughters and Sons; it opened as a 
933-bed, non-denominational, acute-care hospital in Joliet; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, In September of 2008, construction was started on 
11a new 289-bed hospital in New Lenox; and


  
 
12    WHEREAS, The Board of Directors, physicians, 
13administration, and clinical caregivers believe the new 
14hospital will allow them to achieve their vision, which is: 
15"We, the Silver Cross Family, are committed to our culture of 
16excellence, and will deliver an unrivaled healthcare 
17experience for our patients, their families, and the 
18community"; therefore, be it
  
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
20NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
21we congratulate everyone involved in the opening of the new

1Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox and wish them continued 
2success for years to come; and be it further
  
 
3    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
4presented to the administration of Silver Cross Hospital as a
