HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate Ron Kubicki on the 
4occasion of his retirement as Director of the Hodgkins Park 
5District and as President of the Pleasantview Board of Trustees 
6after 40 years of dedicated service to his community; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Ron Kubicki has been a resident of Hodgkins and an 
8employee with the Hodgkins Park District for 40 years; he 
9served as Director of the Hodgkins Park District for 27 years; 
10and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Ron Kubicki was elected to the Pleasantview Fire 
12Protection Board of Trustees in November of 1985; in 2004, he 
13became President of the Pleasantview Fire Protection District 
14Board of Trustees; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Prior to his service as a Trustee, Ron Kubicki 
16served as a paid-on-call firefighter for 11 years; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Ron Kubicki was elected to serve on the Northern 
18Illinois Alliance of Fire Protection Districts Board in 1987; 
19he also served as the President of the Northern Illinois Fire 
20Protection Districts for 23 years and has participated in the 
21Congressional Fire Service Caucus for 20 years; and

1    WHEREAS, Ron Kubicki has been a member of 10 16" softball 
2National Championship Teams; he is also the President of the 
316" Softball Hall of Fame; therefore, be it
  
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
5NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
6we congratulate Ron Kubicki on the occasion of his retirement 
7and wish him many happy and healthy retirement years; and be it 
8further
  
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
10presented to Ron Kubicki as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
