HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate Sandra Doebert on 
4the occasion of her retirement as Superintendent of Lemont High 
5School District 210; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Sandra Doebert has served as the superintendent of 
7District 210 since 2002, making her the first female 
8superintendent in the school's history and one of only 4 
9superintendents to have served for at least a decade; she came 
10to the school in 1994 as an assistant principal, a role she 
11filled for 7 years before serving as the assistant 
12superintendent in the 2001-2002 school year; she announced her 
13retirement in April of 2011, effective June 30, 2012; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, During Sandra Doebert's tenure as superintendent, 
15Lemont High School has made strides in several areas, including 
16academics, extracurricular activities, and improved 
17facilities, all while enrollment has grown by 33% to more than 
181,500 students; and
  
 
19    WHEREAS, Sandra Doebert will receive a special award at the 
20Lemont Area Chamber of Commerce's annual dinner dance, "Dinner 
21Dance Vaudeville", on February 24, 2012 for her many years of 
22dedicated service to the citizens of Lemont; and

1    WHEREAS, Sandra Doebert serves as a model of hard work, 
2integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of 
3Illinois; therefore, be it
  
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
5NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
6we congratulate Sandra Doebert on the occasion of her 
7retirement and wish her many happy and healthy retirement 
8years; and be it further
  
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
10presented to Sandra Doebert as a symbol of our esteem and 
11respect.
