HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate Rosalind L. Wells 
4on her retirement as a teacher with Dunbar Elementary School in 
5East St. Louis; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, She is a living example of the selfless service 
7teachers provide for our youth; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, She excelled in her studies at East St. Louis 
9Senior High School, Eastern Illinois University, and Southern 
10Illinois University, where she received a B. S. Degree; she 
11later received a Masters degree from Maryville College and 
12furthered her already abundant skills as an educator; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, She has inspired thousands of students in East St. 
14Louis through her 35 years of teaching Pre-School through  12th 
15grade; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, She recognizes that teaching is one of the most 
17rewarding professions a person can have; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Rosalind Wells will cherish the lives she touched, 
19as well as the many boys and girls who have impacted her life; 
20she is looking forward to rich experiences outside the

1classroom after her retirement; therefore, be it
  
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
3NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
4we congratulate Rosalind Wells on her retirement and wish her 
5the best in her future endeavors; and be it further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to Rosalind Wells as a symbol of our respect and 
8esteem.
