HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate Roy's Restaurant and founder and owner Roy Yamaguchi on the 10th anniversary of the restaurant; and

WHEREAS, Internationally acclaimed Chef and Roy's Restaurants founder and owner Roy Yamaguchi will lend his culinary flair and "Hawaiian Fusion" expertise in celebration of Roy's Chicago's 10th year anniversary on March 27 2012; and

WHEREAS, Chef Yamaguchi will showcase his epicurean expertise alongside his creative Executive Chef and partner of Roy's Chicago, Rhett Dukes; the pre-selected menu includes a 5-course meal paired with Justin wines from California; and

WHEREAS, To add to the festivities, live hula dancers will perform throughout the evening, and a Justin Wines Master Sommelier will be in attendance to talk about the exquisite wine pairings; and

WHEREAS, Founded by internationally acclaimed Chef Roy Yamaguchi, who holds the distinction of earning Hawaii's first prestigious James Beard Award, Roy's restaurants reflect his personal commitment to serve exciting and innovative Hawaiian Fusion cuisine of the highest quality in an elegant, yet casual atmosphere; and

WHEREAS, Roy's is all about food, unique, beautiful to gaze upon, pleasing textures, and bold flavors, with a taste that is as good as it looks; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Chef Roy Yamaguchi, Executive Chef Rhett Dukes, and the staff of Roy's Restaurant on this historic occasion; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Chef Yamaguchi, Chef Dukes, and the staff of Roy's Restaurant as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
