| 2 | | BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 3 | | NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 4 | | we urge the United States Internal Revenue Service to classify |
| 5 | | fire sprinkler retrofits as five-year property for the purposes |
| 6 | | of depreciation under the federal Modified Accelerated |
| 7 | | Cost-Recovery System; and be it further

| 8 | | RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be |
| 9 | | delivered to the
Commissioner of the Internal Revenue Service |
| 10 | | and the members of the Illinois
Congressional delegation.
