HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are saddened to  learn of the death of
Alvin 
4Boutte, Sr.; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Alvin Boutte, Sr. attended a private Catholic 
6school in Lake Charles, Louisiana as a child; he subsequently 
7attended Xavier University in New Orleans; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Alvin Boutte, Sr. served his country with honor 
9and distinction as a member of the United States Army; and
 
10    WHEREAS, After his stint in the Army, Alvin Boutte, Sr. 
11became the owner of a successful drugstore in Chicago; he later 
12entered the banking industry, where he helped to improve the 
13technology in the banking world, such as introducing automated 
14teller machines; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Alvin Boutte, Sr. was involved in numerous 
16community service organizations and was an active member of his 
17community; therefore, be it

  
 
18    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
19NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
20we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of

2    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
3presented to the family of Alvin Boutte, Sr. as an expression
