HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate Nicholas Goodwin 
4on the occasion of attaining the coveted rank of Eagle Scout; 
5and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Nicholas Goodwin has been an active participant 
7with Troop 228 and the Northwest Suburban Boy Scout Council 
8since he was a Tiger Cub at the age of 6; he has been very 
9active with the Order of The Arrow and is currently the Vice 
10Lodge Chief for the District; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, His  Eagle Scout project was working at Bethany 
12Terrace Nursing Home in Morton Grove, where he renovated a 
13courtyard by rebuilding and beautifying the area for the 
14residents to enjoy; he is an active member of the Order of the 
15Arrow and has received his Vigil Honor, as well as the Founders 
16award; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, He has attended the
National Leadership Seminar, 
18the
Lodge Leadership Development
National Order of the Arrow 
19Conference, and the 2010 National Boy Scout Jamboree; and
  
 
20    WHEREAS, He has held positions in Scouting including
Senior 
21Patrol Leader of Troop 228, Lakota Lodge Vice Chief of Programs

1Northwest Suburban Scout Council,
Lakota Lodge Vice Chief of 
2Operations,
and Section C7 Shows Chairman; and

  
 
3    WHEREAS, His Eagle Court of Honor will be held on May 31, 
42012; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Nicholas Goodwin serves as a model of hard work, 
6integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of 
7Illinois; therefore, be it
  
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
9NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
10we congratulate Nicholas Goodwin on the occasion of attaining 
11the coveted rank of Eagle Scout and wish him continued success 
12and happiness in the future; and be it further
  
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
14presented to Nicholas Goodwin as a symbol of our esteem and 
15respect.
