| 2 | | WHEREAS, The Junior Leagues of Champaign-Urbana and Kane & |
| 3 | | DuPage Counties Inc., in conjunction with the Chicago Metro |
| 4 | | AEYC, the Illinois AEYC, the National Association for the |
| 5 | | Education of Young Children, and other local organizations |
| 6 | | focused on early childhood literacy, are celebrating the Week |
| 7 | | of the Young Child from April 22-28, 2012; and
|
| 8 | | WHEREAS, These organizations are working to improve early |
| 9 | | learning opportunities, including early literacy programs, |
| 10 | | that can provide a foundation of learning for children in |
| 11 | | Illinois; and
|
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Teachers and others who make a difference in the |
| 13 | | lives of young children in Illinois deserve thanks and |
| 14 | | recognition; and
|
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Public policies that support early learning for |
| 16 | | all young children are crucial to young children's futures; |
| 17 | | therefore, be it
|
| 18 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 19 | | NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 20 | | we designate the week of April 22-28, 2012 as the Week of the |
| 21 | | Young Child in the State of Illinois and encourage all citizens |
