HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, Frances Johnson is a loyal Democrat, actively 
3involved in the political process; and
  
 
4    WHEREAS, She is an engaged citizen who honors her civic 
5duties and has vigorously campaigned for Democratic candidates 
6at the local, township, county, State, and national levels; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, She has spent countless hours stuffing envelopes, 
8distributing campaign literature, knocking on doors, attending 
9Democratic fund raisers, and serving as an election judge; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, The late Retired United States Air Force Master 
11Sergeant Thomas W. Johnson also served the Democratic Party, 
12acting as Chouteau 7 Democratic Precinct Committeeman, 
13Chouteau Township Trustee, Chairman of the North Central 
14Democratic Committee, Madison County Executive Board Member, 
15and President of the Madison County Township Officials 
16Association; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, The late Mr. Johnson inspired Mrs. Johnson to 
18serve the Democratic Party through grass roots political 
19efforts; and
  
 
20    WHEREAS, Frances Johnson is celebrating her 90th birthday;

1therefore, be it
  
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
3NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
4we congratulate Frances Johnson on her 90th birthday and wish 
5her continued good health and happiness for years to come; and 
6be it further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to Frances Johnson as a symbol of our respect and 
9esteem.
