HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate Mrs.  Susanne Hoskins on 
4her retirement, on May 4, 2012, as a first and second grade 
5teacher at Dr. Katie Harper Wright Elementary School in East 
6St. Louis; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Mrs. Hoskins serves as an example of a teacher who 
8highlighted the importance of education and made learning an 
9exciting, pleasant experience for her students and others; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, She excelled in her own studies and earned a B.S. 
11degree from Langston University in Oklahoma; she later received 
12a Master's degree from Webster University in St. Louis and 
13furthered her studies at Southern Illinois College with 
14additional certifications and skills; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, She has inspired thousands of students in East St. 
16Louis throughout her 41 years of teaching first and second 
17grade; and

  
 
18    WHEREAS, She recognizes that teaching is one of the most 
19rewarding professions a person can have; she will always 
20cherish the lives she has touched and the impact her many 
21students have had on her own life; she is looking forward to

1retirement and the rich experiences that await her outside the 
2classroom; therefore, be it
  
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
4NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
5we congratulate Mrs. Susanne Hoskins on her retirement and wish 
6her all the best in her future endeavors; and be it further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to Mrs. Susanne Hoskins as a symbol of our respect 
9and esteem.
