HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Dwight 
4Ligon, Jr., who passed away on April 25, 2012; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Dwight Ligon, Jr. was born August 17, 1987 to 
6Dwight and
Pam Ligon in Dolton; he confessed Christ at
an early 
7age; he graduated from Thornwood High school in
South Holland 
8on May 21, 2005; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, He was certified in
HVAC at Ivy Tech and recently 
10graduated from the South
Holland Fire Department Academy on 
11March 22, 2012; he was a very ambitious young man with many

12accomplishments throughout his young life; besides
being an 
13assistant manager at NTB Tires, a motivational
speaker, and 
14owning his own illusion business, his
proudest accomplishment 
15was becoming a fireman for
the South Holland Fire Department; 
16and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, He touched all in his presence with his friendly

18smile, encouraging words, and his genuinely caring
nature; in 
19September of 2011, he managed
to persuade the Chicago Board of 
20Education to entrust
him to perform illusion fantasies for the 
21children of
Chicago; and

1    WHEREAS, Dwight Ligon, Jr. leaves to cherish his memories, 
2his parents, Dwight
and Pamela Ligon; his great-grandmother, 
3Willie B.
Brown; his grandparents, Alice Ligon-Grennell and 
4Juanita
Parker; his sisters, Sonya Prater (Johnny), Brigitta

5Dunning (Steve), Ebonie Parker (Dele), and India Ligon; his 
6aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and a host of other
family and 
7friends; therefore, be it
  
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
9NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
10we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of 
11Dwight Ligon, Jr.; and be it further
  
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
13presented to the family of Dwight Ligon, Jr. as a symbol of our 
14sincere sympathy.
