HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate Gary Mical, Ph.D., 
4on the occasion of his retirement as Superintendent of Wheeling 
5Township Elementary District 21; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Dr. Gary Mical spent 38 years in education in the 
7Chicago suburbs and 20 years as a superintendent, with 10 years 
8as superintendent at Fremont Elementary District 79 before 
9coming to District 21; he subsequently served as Superintendent 
10of Wheeling Township Elementary District 21 until his 
11retirement on June 30, 2012; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, During his tenure as Superintendent, Dr. Gary 
13Mical led District 21 through a redistricting process, a 
14successful tax increase campaign, and staff contract 
15negotiations; and

  
 
16    WHEREAS, Dr. Gary Mical serves as a model of hard work, 
17integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of 
18Illinois; therefore, be it
  
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
20NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
21we congratulate Dr. Gary Mical on the occasion of his

1retirement and wish him many happy and healthy retirement 
2years; and be it further
  
 
3    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
4presented to Dr. Gary Mical as a symbol of our esteem and 
5respect.
