HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS,The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Raymond 
4W. Stringham of Homer Glen, who passed away on May 3, 2012; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, He was born on March 11, 1925 in West Hempstead, 
6Long Island, New York; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, He served in the United States Navy during World 
8War II; he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business 
9from Fordham University in 1955; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, He was an executive with AT&T for 42 years and 
11retired in 1984; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the 
13Telephone Pioneers of America; he was a long-time fan of the 
14Chicago Cubs and the Chicago Bears; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Raymond Stringham was the  beloved husband of 
16Helen, nee Powell; the loving father of Raymond "Skip" (Mary), 
17Richard (Mary Ann), Robert (Frances), Margaret (Louis) McCoy, 
18Carol (Calvin) Whewell, and Janine (Patrick) McIlheran; the 
19devoted grandfather of 22; the great-grandfather of 22; and the 
20fond brother of Mary Mainland; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
2NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
3we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of 
4Raymond Stringham; and be it further
  
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to the family of Raymond Stringham as a symbol of our 
7sincere sympathy.
