| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of
United | ||||||
| 4 | States Army Specialist Chad Patrick Dellit of Sarasota, Florida | ||||||
| 5 | and Fulton, Illinois, with family living in nearby Clinton, | ||||||
| 6 | Iowa, who passed away on September 21, 2011; and
| ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, SPC Chad Dellit was born on July 17, 1989, in | ||||||
| 8 | Muskegon, Michigan; he was the son of Todd and Teresa (Curtis) | ||||||
| 9 | Dellit; and
| ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, SPC Chad Dellit graduated from Riverview High | ||||||
| 11 | School in Sarasota, Florida, in 2007; and
| ||||||
| 12 | WHEREAS, SPC Chad Dellit was employed as a night manager at | ||||||
| 13 | Albertson's Grocery in Sarasota, Florida; and
| ||||||
| 14 | WHEREAS, SPC Chad Dellit enlisted in the United States Army | ||||||
| 15 | on September 23, 2008, at Fort Jackson, South Carolina; he was | ||||||
| 16 | assigned to the 100th Engineer Company, 30th Engineer Battalion | ||||||
| 17 | of the 20th Engineer Brigade stationed at Fort Bragg, North | ||||||
| 18 | Carolina, where he trained to be a geospatial engineer; and | ||||||
| 19 | WHEREAS, SPC Chad Dellit was a member of Beneva Christian | ||||||
| 20 | Church in Sarasota, Florida, where he was actively involved in | ||||||
| |||||||
| |||||||
| 1 | the church's youth group; and | ||||||
| 2 | WHEREAS, SPC Chad Dellit enjoyed hunting, the outdoors, | ||||||
| 3 | mudding, and carpentry; he was a jack-of-all-trades who was | ||||||
| 4 | mechanically inclined and was an excellent soldier who would do | ||||||
| 5 | anything for his fellow comrades; and | ||||||
| 6 | WHEREAS, SPC Chad Dellit was preceded in death by his | ||||||
| 7 | paternal grandparents, Donald Gene and Patricia Ann Dellit; and | ||||||
| 8 | WHEREAS, SPC Chad Dellit is survived by his parents, Todd | ||||||
| 9 | and Teresa Dellit; his sister, Robin Marie Dellit; his maternal | ||||||
| 10 | grandparents, Roy and Mary Curtis and Kathy Curtis; and two of | ||||||
| 11 | his best friends, Manuel Martinez and Wade Feazell; and | ||||||
| 12 | WHEREAS, SPC Chad Dellit's patriotism and courage will be | ||||||
| 13 | remembered fondly by his loving family, his fellow soldiers, | ||||||
| 14 | and the citizens of our grateful nation; therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 15 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||
| 16 | NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
| 17 | we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of | ||||||
| 18 | United States Army Specialist Chad Patrick Dellit; and be it | ||||||
| 19 | further

| 20 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
