HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The Planning and Organizing Committees of the 
3National Black Agenda Convention will hold their 2012 
4convention in the City of Chicago from September 14-15, 2012; 
5and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, The National Black Agenda Convention seeks to 
7focus attention to the present circumstances that impact Black 
8communities throughout the United States and to the creation of 
9effective responses to those circumstances; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, The National Black Agenda Convention and its 
11guests also address how America's policies impact Black people 
12throughout Africa and the world and collaborate on the 
13development of a sustainable Strategic Plan for implementation 
14of community serviced programs from the Nationwide Issues 
15Forums and Issues Committees recommendations; and

  
 
16    WHEREAS, The National Black Agenda Convention and its 
17guests serve as models of hard work, integrity, and dedication 
18for the people of the State of Illinois; therefore, be it
  
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
20NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
21we honor the members of the National Black Agenda Convention

1for their work in addressing issues that affect the Black 
2community in the United States and welcome the members of the 
3convention's committees and their guests to the State of 
4Illinois; and be it further
  
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to the Planning and Organizing Committees of the 
7National Black Agenda Convention as a symbol of our esteem and 
8respect.
