HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate Carl L. White, Jr. 
4on the occasion of his 34th pastoral anniversary, which will be 
5celebrated from October 7-14, 2012; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Carl White, Jr. is the founder and Senior Pastor 
7of Victory Christian International Ministries, Inc., in 
8Markham; throughout the last 34 years, he has traveled 
9throughout the continental United States and internationally 
10to spread the word of God; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Through his personal vision of "Ministering To The 
12Total Man - Exalt the Savior, Equip The Saint, Evangelize The 
13Sinner - Mind, Body and Spirit", Carl White, Jr. has served as 
14a mentor and spiritual guide to his many parishioners and the 
15community at large with his powerful sermons and great 
16leadership; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Carl White, Jr. has assisted many corporations, 
18local agencies, and churches in community outreach efforts; his 
19Victory Aftercare Mentoring Program (VAMP) for ex-offenders 
20and NIR programs for troubled youth have assisted those in need 
21with mentoring, substance abuse counseling, employment 
22training, and academic assistance; he has also been

1instrumental in the development of youth programs to provide a 
2safe haven for children, youth after school programs, programs 
3for seniors, and respite care programs; and

  
 
4    WHEREAS, Carl White, Jr. serves as a model of hard work, 
5integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of 
6Illinois; therefore, be it
  
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
8NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
9we congratulate Carl L. White, Jr. on the occasion of his 34th 
10pastoral anniversary and wish him continued success and 
11happiness in the future; and be it further
  
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
13presented to Carl White, Jr. as a symbol of our esteem and 
14respect.
