| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 | | Representatives are pleased to congratulate Ed and Mary Morley |
| 4 | | on winning the 2012 Christifideles Award; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, The prestigious Christifideles Award is bestowed |
| 6 | | on an individual or individuals who have demonstrated, by |
| 7 | | participation in parish life, the personal and ministerial |
| 8 | | renewal set forth by Pope John Paul II's exhortation |
| 9 | | Christifideles Laici; this appeal called upon the laity to the |
| 10 | | vocation of responsibility, to stir and promote a deeper |
| 11 | | awareness among all the faithful of the gift and responsibility |
| 12 | | they share, both as a group and as individuals, in the |
| 13 | | communion and mission of the church; and
|
| 14 | | WHEREAS, The award was presented to Ed and Mary by Francis |
| 15 | | Cardinal George at Holy Name Cathedral in Chicago; therefore, |
| 16 | | be it

| 17 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 18 | | NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 19 | | we congratulate Ed and Mary Morley on winning the |
| 20 | | Christifideles Award; and be it further
