HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate
Timothy McGinn on 
4his retirement from the Buffalo Grove Police Department; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Timothy McGinn has spent 26 years in service of 
6his community; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Timothy McGinn has been a positive influence on 
8the Village of Buffalo Grove and his
colleagues at the Buffalo 
9Grove Police Department; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Timothy McGinn was one of two officers responsible 
11for the second-largest drug arrest in
Lake County history; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Timothy McGinn has promoted a sense of community, 
13fairness, honor, and dignity; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Timothy McGinn has exemplified the ideals of law 
15enforcement and public service
throughout his career while 
16holding a variety of positions, including Patrol Officer, Field

17Training Officer, and Business Liaison Officer; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Timothy McGinn has committed to remain involved 
19with the department by assisting with
squad car maintenance,

1court transmittals, and public tours of the department; and
  
 
2    WHEREAS, Timothy McGinn retired from his official police 
3duties with the Village of Buffalo Grove
effective October 1, 
42012; therefore, be it
  
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
6NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
7we join the Village of Buffalo
Grove and the Buffalo Grove 
8Police Department in thanking Timothy McGinn for his service,

9and wishing him the best of luck in his future endeavors; and 
10be it further
  
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
12presented to Timothy McGinn as a
symbol of our respect and 
13esteem.
