| 1 | | AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 170

| 2 | | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 170 on page 11, |
| 3 | | immediately below line 18, by inserting the following: |
| 4 | | "(l-5) Establish a locally held account to be maintained |
| 5 | | and administered for the Therkelsen/Hansen College Loan Fund |
| 6 | | (referred to as the Fund). Existing funds for this purpose |
| 7 | | shall be transferred from the State Treasury to the locally |
| 8 | | held account. The Department shall promulgate rules regarding |
| 9 | | the Fund; the use of funds; the eligibility of potential |
| 10 | | borrowers; the awarding and repayment of loans; and other |
| 11 | | rules, as applicable. The administration of the Fund and the |
| 12 | | promulgation of rules shall meet the requirements of the will |
| 13 | | of Petrea Therkelsen, which establishes the Fund.".
