| 1 | | AN ACT concerning finance.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The State Finance Act is amended by changing |
| 5 | | Section 8.8 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (30 ILCS 105/8.8) (from Ch. 127, par. 144.8) |
| 7 | | Sec. 8.8. Appropriations for the improvement, development, |
| 8 | | addition or
expansion of services for the care, treatment, and |
| 9 | | training of persons who
are intellectually disabled or subject |
| 10 | | to involuntary admission under the Mental
Health and |
| 11 | | Developmental Disabilities Code or for the financing of any
|
| 12 | | program designed to provide such improvement, development, |
| 13 | | addition or
expansion of services or for expenses associated |
| 14 | | with providing services to other units of government under |
| 15 | | Section 5-107.2 of the Mental Health and Developmental |
| 16 | | Disabilities Code incurred in administering the
provisions of |
| 17 | | Sections 5-105 to 5-115, inclusive, of the Mental Health and
|
| 18 | | Developmental Disabilities Code, or other ordinary and |
| 19 | | contingent expenses
of the Department of Human Services |
| 20 | | relating to mental health and
developmental disabilities, are |
| 21 | | payable from the Mental Health Fund.
However, no expenditures |
| 22 | | shall be made for the purchase, construction,
lease, or rental |
| 23 | | of buildings for use as State-operated mental health or
