AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 541 




2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 541 by replacing 
3everything after the enacting clause with the following:

 
4    "Section 5. The Counties Code is amended  by adding Section 
55-1133 as follows:
 
6    (55 ILCS 5/5-1133 new)
7    Sec. 5-1133. Reporting of information to the county board. 
8If  at least half of the members of the governing board of a 
9unit of local government or agency are appointed by the 
10chairman of the county board with the advice and consent of the 
11county board, then the county board, by ordinance, may require 
12the unit of local government or agency to provide the county 
13with detailed financial information, budget information and 
14status, and its employment policies, including but not limited 
15to personnel contracts, in the manner and with the frequency 
16specified by the ordinance. The ordinance may require the unit

1of local government or agency to immediately disclose to the 
2county any internal finding of non-compliance with any federal 
3or State regulation or any allegation of criminal activity 
4involving the unit of local government or agency.
 

5    Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon 
6becoming law.".
