AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 541




2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 541 by replacing 
3everything after the enacting clause with the following:

 
4    "Section 5. The Counties Code is amended  by adding Section 
55-1133 as follows:
 
6    (55 ILCS 5/5-1133 new)
7    Sec. 5-1133. Counties of greater than 300,000; reporting of 
8information. A county board in a county with a population 
9greater than 300,000 may by ordinance require for any unit of 
10local government or agency that the county board chairman or 
11county executive nominates and the county board confirms member 
12appointments to provide the county with detailed financial 
13information, budget information and status, and its employment 
14policies, including but not limited to personnel contracts, in 
15the manner and with the frequency specified by the ordinance. 
16The ordinance may require the unit of local government or

1agency to immediately disclose to the county any internal 
2finding of non-compliance with any federal or State regulation 
3or any allegation of criminal activity involving the unit of 
4local government or agency.
 

5    Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon 
6becoming law.".
