AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 967 




2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 967 on page 13, by 
3replacing lines 18 through 26 with the following:
4    "(k) The Secretary of State shall, as a condition of 
5reissuance or reinstatement of a license or permit to an 
6applicant whose driver's license or permit has been revoked 
7under paragraph (4), (6), (11) or (14) of subsection (a) of 
8this Section, require the applicant to participate in a driver 
9remedial education course approved by the Secretary."; and

 
10on page 14, by deleting lines 1 and 2; and
 
11on page 29, by inserting below line 23 the following:
12    "(c-10) The Secretary of State shall, as a condition of 
13reissuance or reinstatement of a license or permit to an 
14applicant whose driver's license or permit has been suspended 
15or revoked under paragraph (2), (3), (4), (16), (21), (37) or 
16(40) of subsection (a) of this Section, require the applicant

1to participate in a driver remedial education course approved 
2by the Secretary."; and
 
3on page 30, by deleting lines 9 through 23; and
 
4on page 31, by inserting the following below line 1:
 

5    "Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 
62013.".
