| 8 | "Disability" means an individual's physical or mental | ||||||
| 9 | impairment that

| 13 | impairment that requires the use of pressurized oxygen. | ||||||
| 14 | "Special needs individuals" means those individuals who | ||||||
| 15 | have or are at increased risk for a chronic physical, | ||||||

| ||||||
| 10 | Sec. 15. Reporting of Special Needs Individuals.
| ||||||
| 11 | (a) Public safety agencies and suppliers of oxygen | ||||||

| 13 | efforts to publicize the Premise Alert Program (PAP) database. | ||||||
| 14 | Means of publicizing the database include, but are not limited | ||||||
| 15 | to, pamphlets and websites. | ||||||
| 16 | (b) Families, caregivers, or the individuals with | ||||||
| 17 | disabilities or special needs may contact their local law | ||||||

| 19 | district. | ||||||
| 20 | (c) Public safety workers are to be cognizant cognitive of | ||||||
| 21 | special needs individuals they may come across when they | ||||||
| 22 | respond to calls. If workers are able to identify individuals | ||||||

| 2 | (d) The disabled individual's name, date of birth, phone | ||||||

for | ||||||
| 6 | possible entry into the PAP database. | ||||||
| 7 | (1) Whenever possible, it is preferable that written | ||||||
| 8 | permission is
obtained from a parent, guardian, family
| 9 | member, or caregiver
of the individual themselves prior to
| 10 | being entered into the
PAP database. | ||||||
| 11 | (2) No individual may be entered into a PAP
database | ||||||
| 12 | unless the special need has been verified.
Acceptable means | ||||||
| 13 | of verifying a special need for purposes
of this program | ||||||
| 14 | shall include statements by: | ||||||
| 15 | (A) the individual, | ||||||

| 23 | CAD database is to be disseminated to all agencies utilizing | ||||||
| 24 | that database. | ||||||
| 25 | (f) Information received at an incorrect public safety | ||||||
| 26 | agency shall be accepted and forwarded to the correct agency as | ||||||
