| 4 | | Section 5. The Illinois Pension Code is amended by changing |
| 5 | | Section 1-118 as follows:

| 8 | | (a) All pension funds and retirement systems
subject to |
| 9 | | this Code shall comply with the requirements imposed on them by |
| 10 | | the
federal Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment |
| 11 | | Rights Act (P.L.
103-353).

| 12 | | (b) All pension funds and retirement systems subject to |
| 13 | | this Code shall comply with the federal Heroes Earnings |
| 14 | | Assistance and Relief Tax Act of 2008 (P.L. 110-245). |
