| 1 | | AN ACT concerning civil law.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The Mobile Home Landlord and Tenant Rights Act |
| 5 | | is amended by adding Section 14.2 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (765 ILCS 745/14.2 new) |
| 7 | | Sec. 14.2. Relocation plan. The Department of Public |
| 8 | | Health shall create a plan to address the relocation efforts of |
| 9 | | manufactured home or mobile home owners who are compelled to |
| 10 | | relocate due to (i) the sale of the manufactured home community |
| 11 | | or mobile home park in which they live to a person or entity |
| 12 | | which will use the property for a use other than as a |
| 13 | | manufactured home community or mobile home park or (ii) the |
| 14 | | closure of or the cessation of the operation of the |
| 15 | | manufactured home community or mobile home park in which they |
| 16 | | live. The Department shall develop this plan in cooperation |
| 17 | | with members of the General Assembly, manufactured home owners, |
| 18 | | mobile home owners, manufactured home community owners, mobile |
| 19 | | home park owners, and the respective statewide organizations |
| 20 | | that represent manufactured home owners, mobile home owners, |
| 21 | | manufactured home community owners, or mobile home park owners. |
| 22 | | The plan shall include provisions for the special counseling of |
| 23 | | manufactured home or mobile home owners displaced from the |
