| 2 | | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 2004 on page 8, by |
| 3 | | replacing lines 16 through 18 with the following: |
| 4 | | "(20) Knows the individual assaulted to be a process |
| 5 | | server in the performance of his or her duties. For the |
| 6 | | purposes of this paragraph (20), "process server" means a |
| 7 | | person who is authorized to serve process under Section |
| 8 | | 2-202 of the Code of Civil Procedure."; and

| 9 | | on page 15, by replacing lines 17 and 18 with the following: |
| 10 | | "(23) Knows the individual harmed to be a process |
| 11 | | server in the performance of his or her duties. For the |
| 12 | | purposes of this paragraph (23), "process server" means a |
| 13 | | person who is authorized to serve process under Section |
| 14 | | 2-202 of the Code of Civil Procedure.".
