AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 2082 




2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 2082 by replacing 
3everything after the enacting clause with the following:


 
 
4    "Section 5. The Department of Commerce and Economic 
5Opportunity Law of the
Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is 
6amended  by adding Section 605-1010 as follows:
 
7    (20 ILCS 605/605-1010 new)
8    Sec. 605-1010. Quarterly business report.  The Department 
9shall issue a quarterly report to the Commerce Committee of the 
10Illinois Senate detailing the number of new businesses 
11incorporating or otherwise forming in Illinois, the number of 
12businesses not seeking renewal of their registration or having 
13lapsed registration in Illinois,  and the number of businesses 
14renewing registrations in Illinois by category, including, but 
15not limited to, sole proprietorships, partnerships, C 
16corporations, S corporations, and limited liability companies.

1The report shall include that data with a column reflecting 
2increases or decreases for each business type compared with the 
3previous quarter.  The Department shall publish the report on 
4its website.  The Department shall obtain any information 
5necessary to create this report from the office of the 
6Secretary of State.
  
 
7    Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon 
8becoming law.".
