| 1 | | AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 2488

| 2 | | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 2488 on page 3, by |
| 3 | | replacing line 1 with "mode. As used in this Subsection (e), |
| 4 | | "construction or maintenance project" means an area of a |
| 5 | | highway with construction, maintenance, or utility work |
| 6 | | activities and identified by the placement of temporary traffic |
| 7 | | control devices such as, but not limited to, signs, |
| 8 | | channelizing devices, barriers, pavement markings, work |
| 9 | | vehicles with warning lights, or any combination thereof, and |
| 10 | | extending from the first orange sign warning of road work or |
| 11 | | construction ahead or rotating or flashing lights on a vehicle |
| 12 | | to the last temporary traffic control device."; and

| 13 | | on page 3, below line 3, by inserting the following:

| 14 | | "Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
| 15 | | becoming law.".
