| 2 | | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 2643 on page 6 by |
| 3 | | replacing lines 3 through 13 with the following:

| 4 | | "(a-0.5) To effectuate the purpose and policy of this Act, |
| 5 | | the public body awarding any contract for public work or |
| 6 | | otherwise undertaking any public works shall specify in the |
| 7 | | call for bids and shall require that each bidder be a |
| 8 | | responsible bidder. |
| 9 | | (a-0.7) The public body awarding any contract for public |
| 10 | | work or otherwise undertaking any public works shall require |
| 11 | | that each bidder include in each bid an estimated total number |
| 12 | | of straight-time work hours, identified as either |
| 13 | | "Journeyperson" or "Apprentice", for each craft or type of |
| 14 | | worker or mechanic needed to execute the contract.".
