| 1 | | AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 3201

| 2 | | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 3201 on page 2 by |
| 3 | | inserting immediately below line 18 the following:

| 4 | | "(c) A person who pays $5,000 or more for plastic bulk |
| 5 | | merchandise containers in any single transaction, or in |
| 6 | | aggregate from any one person or entity over a 7-day period, |
| 7 | | shall obtain proof of ownership from the seller and shall |
| 8 | | retain a copy of such proof of ownership."; and
|
| 9 | | on page 3 by replacing lines 6 and 7 with the following: |
| 10 | | "(b) A person who purchases or receives plastic bulk |
| 11 | | merchandise containers in violation of this Act and pays or |
| 12 | | receives $10,000 or more therefor shall be guilty of a Class 2 |
| 13 | | felony. Such".
