| 1 | | AN ACT concerning finance.
|
| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The Illinois Procurement Code is amended by |
| 5 | | changing Section 50-30 as follows: |
| 6 | | (30 ILCS 500/50-30)
|
| 7 | | Sec. 50-30. Revolving door prohibition.
|
| 8 | | (a) Chief procurement officers, State
purchasing
|
| 9 | | officers, procurement compliance monitors, their designees |
| 10 | | whose principal duties are directly related to State
|
| 11 | | procurement, and
and executive officers confirmed by the Senate |
| 12 | | are expressly
prohibited for a period of 2 years after |
| 13 | | terminating an affected position from
engaging in any |
| 14 | | procurement activity relating to the State agency most recently
|
| 15 | | employing them in an affected position for a period of at least |
| 16 | | 6 months. The
prohibition includes but is not limited to: |
| 17 | | lobbying the procurement process;
specifying; bidding; |
| 18 | | proposing bid, proposal, or contract documents; on their
own |
| 19 | | behalf or on behalf of any firm, partnership, association, or |
| 20 | | corporation.
This subsection applies only to persons who |
| 21 | | terminate an
affected position on or
after January 15, 1999.

| 22 | | (b) In addition to any other
provisions of this Code, |
| 23 | | employment of former State employees is subject to the
State |
