| 1 | | AN ACT concerning civil law.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The Code of Civil Procedure is amended by |
| 5 | | changing Section 8-701 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (735 ILCS 5/8-701) (from Ch. 110, par. 8-701)
|
| 7 | | Sec. 8-701. Broadcast or televised testimony. No witness |
| 8 | | shall be compelled
to testify in any proceeding
conducted by a |
| 9 | | court, commission, administrative agency or other
tribunal in |
| 10 | | this State if any portion of his or her testimony is to be
|
| 11 | | broadcast or televised or if motion pictures are to be taken of |
| 12 | | him or her
while he or she is testifying. This Section shall |
| 13 | | not apply to judicial proceedings.
