SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to  
3learn of the death of
Daniel T. Zanoza of Lincoln, formerly of 
4Chicago, who passed away on January 6, 2011; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Daniel Zanoza was born on November 27, 1953; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Daniel Zanoza was a pro-life/pro-family activist; 
7he also served as a journalist and freelance writer; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Daniel Zanoza was the founder and president of 
9Republicans for a Fair Media (RFFM) and the proprietor of 
10rffm.org; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Daniel Zanoza served as chairman of the 
12Springfield Nativity Scene Committee in Springfield; as 
13chairman, he organized the effort to place a nativity scene in 
14the rotunda of the Illinois State Capitol building; the 
15nativity scene is the only such religious display to be placed 
16in a state capitol building in the United States; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Daniel Zanoza is survived by his wife, Julie; 
18therefore, be it
  
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL

1ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
2her family and friends, the passing of Daniel T. Zanoza; and be 
3it further
  
 
4    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
5presented to the family of Daniel Zanoza as an expression of 
6our sympathy.
