SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Sandra J. "Sandy" Connor of Springfield, 
4who passed away on January 8, 2011; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, She was born March 10, 1945 in Springfield, the 
6daughter of Harold J. and Neanetta Conroy Smith; she married 
7Charles "Jack" Connor in Springfield in 1964; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, She worked for Pease's Candy and then as a 
9custodian for the State of Illinois Senate for 18 years; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, She loved fishing, traveling, gambling, Elvis, 
11and her dogs; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, 
13William E. Connor; her brother, Harold Martin Smith; her 
14nephew, Brian J. Phillips; and her beloved dog, Chico; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Sandra Connor is survived by her husband, Charles 
16"Jack" Connor; her son, John (wife, Kimberlee) Connor; her  
17grandchildren, Jonathan English, John Matthew "Matt" Connor, 
18and Gabrielle "Gabbi" Connor; her sister, Karen (husband, 
19Richard) Phillips; her brothers, Ronald (wife, Donna) Smith and 
20Edward (wife, Deborah) Smith; her sister-in-law, Mary Smith;

1and several nieces, nephews, and cousins; therefore, be it
  
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL 
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
4her family and friends, the passing of Sandra Connor; and be it 
5further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to the family of Sandra Connor as a symbol of our 
8sincere sympathy.
