SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Vera Ann (nee, Attalla) Mushro of 
4Lockport, who passed away on February 23, 2011; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Vera devoted her life to her husband, children and 
6grandchildren; she was known for her tremendous strength, 
7courage, and above all, her unconditional love; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, She touched many lives with her beautiful spirit 
9and smile; she was known for her Lebanese cooking and baking 
10and also crocheting blankets for her grandchildren; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, She was a  member of St. Dennis Church in Lockport; 
12and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her husband, George 
14Sr.; her parents, Ameen and Miriam (Balbaky) Attalla; her 
15granddaughter, Lynn Almond Ogden; her great-granddaughter, 
16Danielle Gonsoulin, and her two brothers and six sisters; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Vera Mushro is survived by her children, Lois 
18LaBarre, Carol (Ken) Almond, George Jr. (Sharon), Russell 
19(Judy), Miriam (Jim) Abraham, and Denise Rumchak; her 17 
20grandchildren; her 23 great-grandchildren; her three

1great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews; 
2therefore, be it
  
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL 
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
5family and friends, the passing of Vera Mushro; and be it 
6further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to the family of Vera Mushro as a symbol of our 
9sincere sympathy.
