SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Kenneth E. Wood of Lake Bluff, who passed 
4away on February 26, 2011; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, He was born in 1932 in Brewerton, New York, the 
6son of the late Clarence and Ella Wood; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, He was a CPA with Arthur Andersen and Company, the 
8Walter Heller Company, and The Marmon Group, all of Chicago; 
9and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, He was a member of the Sharvin American Legion 
11Post #397 in North Chicago; he was on the Board of Directors of 
12the Great Lakes Naval Museum Foundation; he was the National 
13Director and a member of the Navy League of the United States; 
14he was on the Board of Directors of the U.S. Naval Sea Cadet 
15Corps; he was a member of the Friends of Lake County Discovery 
16Museum; and he was member of the Lake County Council of the 
17Navy League; and

  
 
18    WHEREAS, Kenneth Wood was the husband of Roycealee Wood 
19(nee, Johnson); the godfather of Scott (Lynne) Twigg and Steven 
20Twigg; the great godfather of Emily and Logan Twigg; and the 
21brother of Millard (late, Susan) Wood and Nancy (Neal) Scott;

1therefore, be it
  
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL 
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
4his family and friends, the passing of Kenneth Wood; and be it 
5further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to the family of Kenneth Wood as a symbol of our 
8sincere sympathy.
