| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Gregory Ellis Brooks of Jacksonville, |
| 4 | | Florida, who passed away on March 15, 2011; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, He retired from the United States Naval Services |
| 6 | | in 1995; for the past 12 years he served as an Aircraft Engine |
| 7 | | Mechanic WG8 at the Fleet Readiness Center, Southeast, in |
| 8 | | Jacksonville, Florida; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, He was the loving son of Herbert Brooks Sr. and |
| 10 | | Threesa Brooks Dixon; for the past 38 years he was the loving |
| 11 | | husband of Brenda Parish Brooks; he was the beloved father of |
| 12 | | Gregory Arness (Stephanie) Brooks, Anthony (Tara) Brooks, and |
| 13 | | Kevin Brooks; he was the dear brother of Larry (Ingrid) Brooks, |
| 14 | | Joyce McGilvery, Debra Jones, Renee Brooks, Herbert Brooks Jr. |
| 15 | | (Gwen), Derrick (Sharon) Brooks, Earlene Marie Brooks, Darlene |
| 16 | | (Gregory) Robinson, Patricia (Thomas) Taylor, and Jerome |
| 17 | | Brooks; he was the dear grandfather of 12 grandchildren; and is |
| 18 | | survived by a host of other relatives and friends; therefore, |
| 19 | | be it

| 20 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL |
| 21 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with |
| 22 | | his family and friends, the passing of Gregory Brooks; and be |
